USDA Rural Development Guaranteed Loan

The USDA Rural Development program guarantees business loans in rural areas (usually population 10,000 and under). The guarantee applies to loans; not lines of credit.

First, verify that your address is considered rural by the USDA by clicking here. If it is, any bank can contact the USDA and request a guarantee. Applicants must prepare a business plan to show that it is a viable commercial project. The plan should show that the business will create rural jobs or make them more secure.
